Don’t you wish we could go back to a time when community was crucial?
When friends would die for friends, stories had good ends
and everyone could spare a little time.

When people could meet together and share each others’ minds.
And everyone was more than willing to give love a try.
When people’d dance together and shake their dinosaur bones.
And no one really ever felt alone.

They would sell their things to help the poor
and jump and shout at funerals.
They’d spread around their blessings,
no Christianity aint communal.

When people would laugh together cause they didn’t know that much.
And from a mirror dimly lit their hearts were deeply touched.
When the aliens were welcomed. There were crop circles a plenty.
And though they had strange ways they loved them like family.

And people would pray together like God was right amongst them.
When instead of just wanting saved they’d genuinely praise him.
And they’d get their hands quite dirty when working with the corpses.
They knew that it was worth it being quite undead themselves.
